Academic Requirements
Q. Do I need to be a post-secondary graduate to start the CGA program?
You must have a degree to earn the CGA designation, however you do not need a degree to enter the CGA Program. CGA offers integrative degree opportunities for those students entering without a degree, so you can earn a degree while working toward the designation.
Q. I have a 3-year bachelor degree, is this ok?
The CGA degree requirement is a 3 or 4 year degree from an approved post-secondary institution.
Q. I have an applied bachelor degree, is this ok?
As long as the applied degree is from a recognized post-secondary institution, it will meet the CGA degree requirement.
Q. What type of bachelor degree will meet the degree requirement (i.e. does it have to be a business degree)?
A degree in any field of study from a recognized post-secondary degree granting institution will satisfy the degree requirement.
