Research & Education Foundation
CGA Alberta's Research and Education Foundation is a registered charitable organization established to support business and accounting education across the province. The Foundation supports student scholarships and post secondary institutions and funds public policy research into business, accounting, commerce and other issues of value to the community.
Each year, the Foundation is privileged to receive contributions from every CGA Alberta Member through your annual membership dues. Through these contributions, combined with additional generous donations from members and partners in the business community, we are able to maximize the recognition and influence of the CGA profession in the community and help attract top accounting professionals to the CGA designation.
Your annual $50 contribution is essential in supporting:
- Student Scholarships, awards and bursaries
- Post secondary institutions and educators that sustain the CGA Program of Professional Studies
- Public policy research into business, accounting and commerce issues relevant to Albertans
The activities of the Foundation promote the CGA profession and showcase the value of the designation. As a direct result, the designation is more recognizable, respected and more in demand than ever before. The Foundation's role in the public affairs of Alberta and our participation in key provincial initiatives continue to strengthen government relationships. Our presence and influence in the political community creates more opportunities for members as we work to benefit the interests of the public.
The Foundation continues to build on these initiatives and to pursue relevant research and scholarship opportunities to further the value of the CGA designation and to provide a lasting community legacy.
