Lifelong Learning Program
Students in the CGA Program qualify to take advantage of the federal government's Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP). This plan allows you or your spouse to withdraw funds from your or your spouse's registered savings plan to finance your CGA education. In order to qualify you must enrol in courses in a minimum of three sessions. Information can be obtained from the Canada Revenue Agency web site.
The Bank of Montreal
As part of its financial services package for CGAs, the Bank of Montreal also offers a special line of credit to students in the CGA Program. Students may obtain up to $6,500 per year to a maximum of $39,000 over six years. The line of credit can be used for tuition, course fees, books, computer and software purchases. There are no fees and students can make interest only payments for up to one year after graduation. Need more information? Apply online for a student line of credit.
Alberta Learning
Alberta Learning provides a part-time study bursary in the amount of $600 for a four month term to a maximum of $1,800 per academic year to part-time students who meet eligibility requirements. Students are required to pay all fees before applying for the bursary. The Alberta Student Finance Board reimburses eligible students within approximately six weeks. Canada Student Loans
