How To Apply and Enroll
Step 1 - Complete Your Transcript Evaluation
All students who wish to enroll in the CGA program must complete an official transcript evaluation to assess their transfer credits. To request a CGA transcript evaluation, visit the login to your CGA profile, access the My CGA Profile page and complete the online self evaluation form. If you do not have a CGA profile, you may create one under the new user tab on the CGA website. Once the online self assessment form is processed, you may proceed to your CGA checkout to process the evaluation fee.
Contact all of your post-secondary schools (colleges, universities, and professional associations) and have your official transcripts sent to CGA Alberta: Suite 100, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB T2E 2P5. If your courses are more than ten years old, forward a copy of your resume to CGA at questions@cga-alberta.org. Non-Canadian (Foreign) Transcripts:
Please do not send original foreign transcripts by mail. Notarized* copies from foreign institutions will be accepted directly from the applicant, or can be mailed to CGA-Alberta. CGA may also ask applicants to submit their documents to the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) for a degree equivalency evaluation, you will be notified by the CGA Alberta on your evaluation if an IQAS evaluation is required. *Note: A notarized copy of an official transcript should be a true copy of the original document that is stamped, dated, and signed by a notary public, designated accountant, lawyer, financial institution manager, or a post-secondary registrar.
An applicant must be an Alberta resident. Please submit one of the following combination to confirm your eligibility for the program:
- Canadian birth certificate/passport + Alberta driving license/ Alberta Identification Card
- Canadian citizenship card + Alberta driving license/ Alberta Identification Card
- Canada Permanent Resident Card + Alberta driving license/ Alberta Identification Card
- Work permit + Alberta driving license/ Alberta Identification Card
- Study permit + Alberta driving license/ Alberta Identification Card

Please email your scanned document to questions@cga-alberta.org contact us if you have any questions. Please be advised CGA may not proceed with your evaluation without the appropriate documentation.
Step 2 - Enroll as a CGA Student - Submit an Application for Admission
To enroll as a CGA student, you must have a valid transcript evaluation with CGA. To submit your application for admission, login to your My CGA Profile, the application is located under the Program Enrollment tab. To enroll as a CGA student, applicants are required to process the applicable CGA student fees on the fee schedule. Students enrolled in the CGA program may indicate this to employers and represent themselves as current students on their resume. Students also have immediate access to the CGA employment referral service job board at CGA Connect. CGA students can also use My CGA Profile to enroll for online courses.
Step 3 - Register for a CGA Online Course
a. Students enrolled in the CGA program can use their My CGA Profile page to register for online courses with the CGA association. All deadlines are located under Important Dates and Deadlines on our website. Please note, late enrollments will be subject to a late registration fee.
b. Students should refer to their transcript evaluation results to determine their course requirements. The CGA courses in each session are indicated on the online course schedule page. Pre-requisites maybe required to enroll for a CGA course, if you have not completed the required pre-requisite coursework, registration for a course will not be available. To confirm your course registration, proceed to your checkout to process the course fee online.
