Q. How long does it take to complete the CGA Program?

The CGA program can range from 2-7 years of part-time studies, depending on whether you have previously completed post-secondary courses in a business diploma or degree program.  You can receive transfer credit if you have completed equivalent course work from an accredited post-secondary institution prior to entering the CGA Program. Q. What basic skills do you need to start the Program?

Regardless of your educational and/or business background, you will need excellent math and communications skills to be successful. Once enrolled in the Program as a student, you will need motivation and discipline to complete the courses.

Q. Can I register in the CGA Program of Professional Studies if I am not a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant?

Individuals in Canada on student or work visas are eligible to enroll in the CGA Program of Studies. However, if you do not have a work visa, you may not be able to meet the practical experience requirement needed to obtain the CGA designation.
