Convocation Ceremony & New Member Gala
Date: Saturday, November 5, 2011
Time: Convocation at 10:00am. New Member Gala at 7:00pm.
Location: Van Horne Ballroom at the Fairmont Banff Springs, Banff, Alberta
Dress Code: Business for the ceremony. Formal, black tie attire only for the Gala.
Important: Registration Deadline is Monday, October 3, 2011 at midnight. If this event should fill up by this deadline, a waitlist will be activated.

Convocation Ceremony:
Graduates are welcome to invite friends and family to attend the ceremony event. Doors to the Convocation Hall will be opened at 9:00am. Seating is a first come first serve - there will be no tickets issued for seating at the ceremonies. You will be assigned tables, though, for the Banquet & Ball. A table chart will be on display outside the Banquet hall as well as many staff on hand to answer any of your questions.
New Member Gala:
For the new graduate: CGA Alberta is please to provide each new graduate with two complimentary Banquet and Ball tickets but you must register yourself and your guest. After you have registered yourself and your one complimentary guest, you have the option to purchase a maximum of four additional Banquet/Ball tickets for a cost of $125 plus GST each. The cost per child will be $30.00 plus GST each (for kids who will be sitting in a chair and having dinner. Child's dinner is a much smaller plate and will be chicken fingers, salad and dessert). Registration and Check-In will begin at 6:30pm outside the Van Horne Ballroom.
Employer Tables:
The total cost is $1350, plus GST.
There is the opportunity for a CGA Alberta graduate's employer to purchase a table for the Banquet and Ball. This cost includes the following: Reserved Table for up to Ten ($125 * 10); Two bottles of Sparkling Wine (approximately $75 per bottle); One CGA Alberta gift for your Graduate (approximately $100 cost) and most importantly, this reserved table will be at the very front of the Ballroom, beside the dance floor! The Employer can select up to 9 additional guests for the table. We only require first and last names. If names are unknown, please put Guest for first name and One, Two, etc. for last name. Know that one banquet table for up to 10 people total has been purchased.

Member Cards:
Member cards will be issued to new grads at the next quarterly printing after the registrar has approved your application to become a member. The times of these print runs are generally the end of August and November, and the beginning of March and June. New member cards will be mailed to all new members within 3 - 4 weeks of these dates.
