David Inhaber Top Accounting Educator Award

David Inhaber is the former Chair of the Board of Governors of CGA Alberta, a long-time accounting and finance instructor and the current Academic Accounting Chair of Business Administration Diploma at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.  This award was established by David Inhaber to recognize and reward up to two CGA educators annually who exemplify excellence in nurturing the future generation of CGA professionals.

CGA educators can be nominated by anyone who has been touched by their commitment to teaching, including their students, fellow educators or program administrators. Winners will be judged against the narrative from the nominator about why the nominee deserves to win.

Criteria

• Nominee must be a CGA or have committed to becoming a CGA within the next year
• Must be a tutor or classroom instructor of courses related to accounting and applying to the CGA Program of Professional Studies
• Application form must be accompanied by a narrative (in whatever format deemed appropriate by the nominator) outlining why the educator deserves to be named a Top Accounting Educator.
• Applications must be received by August 31 of each year.

Award
Winners will receive an engraved plaque identifying them as a Top Accounting Educator as well as a $300 gift certificate for Chapters, Best Buy (their preference). Winners will also be publicly announced in the CGA Alberta monthly electronic newsletter, the E-Advocate and the CGA Alberta website.
