Student Appeals

If for any reason the Association has informed you that you have been placed in Mandatory Withdrawal, you may appeal this status by completing the Online Appeal Request Form.
In your appeal, please indicate what the appeal is for (i.e. more time, additional course attempts), details that lead to this status, and how you intend to proceed in completing your CGA program requirements going forward.

After a review of the request, you will be notified of the results by e-mail.  Pending these results, you may be allowed to continue in courses or exams if you enrolled in them prior to submitting your online appeal.

NOTE:  For students required to submit an appeal for more time to complete their CGA programs.

Students who are currently enrolled in grandfathered CGA programs (admitted prior to July 1, 2006) and are required to appeal for a time extension should choose the ?re-evaluation for more time? option.

Please be advised that the CGA-Alberta Board of Governors passed a new policy affecting all students admitted to the CGA program prior to July 1, 2006. Students in grandfathered programs who are unable to complete all requirements by their program expiry date are required to transfer to the current program requirements. A request for a re-evaluation is available through the Student Appeals Online Request System. Courses previously completed will be re-evaluated for advance standing in the current program (PA2) and a new program expiry date assigned according to the number of exemptions granted.

Students who are enrolled in the current CGA program (admitted after July 1, 2006) and are required to appeal for a time extension should choose the ?request for more time? option.
