Supplemental (SUP) Exams
A Supplemental examination (SUP) is offered to a CGA student when the final grade achieved on a CGA exam is between 50% and 64%.
Exception: "Challenge" exams are NOT eligible for a Supplemental exam. Please reference "Challenge" exams here.
CGA students who fail to obtain a mark of 65% or higher on a Supplemental exam are required to re-take the course in it's entirety (onus of course cost is on the student). Failure on a Supplemental exam constitutes one of the three academic attempts at the course.
Students who are granted a Supplemental exam privilege do not submit weekly course assignments. Students have the right to waive a Supplemental exam and re-enroll in the course at the cost of the student.
Supplemental exam registrations are completed via My CGA Profile > Exam Enrollment > Enroll in a Supplemental Exam. Once the Supplemental exam fee is remitted, the Supplemental exam will take place the next time the exam for that course is scheduled, unless an exam deferral has been requested. CGA students are to ensure that they are referencing the EXAM SCHEDULE for the next exam being offered.
Students are responsible for any changes in course material (IE: texts, lesson notes, CICA Handbook revisions, etc...) that result from a Supplemental exam privilege being written in the next academic year.
The Supplemental exam fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
