You must have a degree in order to complete the CGA Program of Professional Studies, but do not require a degree to enter it.
The degree may be from any recognized degree-granting institution including a university, university-college or technical institution. Degrees may be obtained in any field. Foreign degrees deemed equivalent to Canadian standards are acceptable. CGA has several degree partners. As a student of the CGA program, you can earn a bachelor or master's degree in conjunction with your CGA studies through one of our degree partners.

A degree in an accounting discipline offers a much shorter path to designation, provided a minimum GPA is maintained.
